FDI inflow to Poland up by 4 pct in 2020
The flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Poland in 2020 grew by 4 percent year on year while, according to UNCTAD, global FDI fell by some 30 percent, shows a Polish central bank report.
The flow of FDI into Poland in 2020 reached PLN 53.9 billion (EUR 11.7 billion) while the FDI outflow from this country totalled PLN 5.1 billion (EUR 1.1 billion), the National Bank of Poland wrote in a report published on Monday.
FDI worth PLN 12.9 billion (EUR 2.8 billion) was directed to the industrial processing sector, PLN 9.4 billion (EUR 2 billion) to professional services and PLN 9.2 billion (EUR 2 billion) to the real estate management sector, the NBP reported.
Revenues of foreign direct investors from their FDI amounted to PLN 84.2 billion (EUR 18.3 billion) in 2020, the NBP added.
