Europe should once again become a global leader in advanced technologies and industry, Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday in his address at the opening of the European Forum for Science, Research and Innovation in the east-German city of Dresden.

Morawiecki said that some German companies may still be leaders, but Europe as a whole is probably not.

According to the Polish PM, the European Union should draft a European strategy for innovation that would focus on such issues as hydrogen storage, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, cybersecurity and space technologies.
