EUR 18.9 bln for Poland by end-2022 in EU recovery deal - EC
Poland will receive EUR 18.9 billion in subsidies from the EU post-pandemic recovery package in the years 2021-2022 and an additional EUR 4.1 in 2023, the latter figure ultimately depending on the country's unemployment rates, the European Commission (EC) has said.
On Thursday, the EC officially presented the calculation of the distribution of subsidies from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the centrepiece of the recovery plan for member states, agreed by 27 EU leaders at the July summit in Brussels to include EUR 360 billion in loans and EUR 312.5 billion in grants.
The largest beneficiaries of the funds in 2021-2022 are Spain and Italy, which will get EUR 43.5 billion and EUR 44.7 billion respectively. France is to receive EUR 22.7 billion and Germany EUR 15.2 billion.
