PLN 120 million (EUR 28,000) from the EU's Digital Poland programme will finance new WiFi access points countrywide, Minister of Digital Affairs Marek Zagorski informed on Tuesday.

The funding will mainly finance the erection of so-called hotspots offering free WiFi access in spaces such as parks, libraries, culture centres and railway and bus terminals. Zagorski said the project was mainly addressed to rural and semi-rural communities, which have the most difficulties in accessing the web.
