EC VP Jourova seeks new chapter in EC-Poland dialogue

European Commission (EC) Vice-President for Values and Transparency Vera Jourova, who came to Poland on Tuesday, said she wants to open a new chapter in the dialogue between the EC and the Polish authorities.

In a Tuesday statement sent to PAP by the EC, Jourova said she was coming to Warsaw to meet the authorities, representatives of the government, the judiciary, business and civil society.

In Warsaw, Jourova said she that above all she values a face-to-face dialogue and that she expects that her meetings with Poland's top officials will allow her to better understand the situation in Poland, which can be a good start to opening a dialogue and looking for long-term solutions.

Among the topics she was going to discuss with Polish officials she mentioned the rule of law, disinformation and external interference.
