December's core inflation rate at 3.7 pct - central bank

Poland's core inflation, excluding the prices of food and energy, measured 3.7 percent year on year in December 2020, against a 4.3 percent level in November, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said on Monday.

Core inflation, excluding fixed prices, amounted to 1.4 percent year on year in December, down from 2.1 percent previous month.

Core inflation, excluding the most volatile priced items, measured 2.8 percent year on year in December, against 2.9 percent a month earlier.

The 15-percent trimmed mean inflation measured 2.7 percent year on year in December, down from 3.0 percent in comparison with the previous month.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), prices of consumer goods and services increased by 2.4 percent year on year in December 2020 and by 0.1 percent month on month.
