Czech Republic congratulates Polish president on election victory

Jiri Ovcacek, spokesman for Czech President Milos Zeman congratulated Polish President Andrzej Duda on his victory in the presidential elections and declared that it was good news for the Visegrad Group, among other organisations.

The Visegrad Group is comprised of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

"Long live Poland!" on Twitter wrote Ovcacek, who on behalf of President Zeman, who is on holiday, comments on the most important events.

According to results from 99.97 percent of polling stations presented on Monday morning by the State Electoral Commission (PKW), Duda received 51.21 percent of the votes in the run-off of the presidential election on Sunday.

After publishing the partial results, the Czech spokesman wrote that the victory of Duda was good news for Poland, the Czech Republic and the Visegrad Group. The entry was accompanied by a photo of Presidents Duda and Zeman.
