Coronavirus claims lives of 94 doctors, 73 nurses - health ministry

The coronavirus has contributed to the deaths of 94 doctors and 73 nurses in Poland as well as two laboratory diagnosticians, 13 dentists, five pharmacists, seven paramedics and five midwives, the Ministry of Health data have revealed.

The data, made available to PAP on Friday, shows that since the start of the epidemic in Poland, the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been detected in 22,149 doctors, 1,801 laboratory diagnosticians, 56,069 nurses, 5,349 midwives, 3,245 paramedics, 2,138 dentists and 2,430 pharmacists.

Since March 4, 2020, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 1,614,446 people in Poland and 41,582 people have died as a result of Covid-19.
