Civic Coalition (KO) candidate for president Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on Saturday said that the time had come for a woman from Ursus, the district of Warsaw where she lives, to become Polish president.

Addressing an election rally, Kidawa-Błońska declared that she wanted to become the president of Poland because the country and its future were important to her. "I love Poland, just like you do, that is why I am here and that is why I want to be president," she said.

According to Kidawa-Błońska, Poland needed new hope and a new beginning. She stated that the Polish people wanted to live in a normal country, in a state which is built on mutual respect, trust and honesty.
