Chopin Airport serviced 5.7 mln passengers between July and September
Warsaw's Chopin Airport serviced around 5.7 mln passengers from July until the end of September this year, the airport reported on Thursday.
The press release added that compared to the same period of last year, 600,000 fewer travellers had passed through the airport. From the beginning of 2018 until the end of September 13.7 mln passengers had used the services of the airport.
Of those 13.7 mln, 12.4 mln travelled on international flights (an increase of 18.8 pct over the same period of the previous year). From January to the end of September of last year the airport saw the throughput of 12 mln passengers.
The communique emphasised that data confirm the position of the Warsaw airport as "an attractive and increasingly popular transfer point in this part of Europe."
