Chinese online retailer AliExpress sponsors Polish football club
Polish football club Lech Poznań has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Chinese e-commerce platform AliExpress, the company said in a press release. For AliExpress, this is the world's first sports marketing partnership.
Gary Topp, CEO of AliExpress for Central and Eastern Europe said that Poland is one of the company's leading markets in Europe, and that the company wants the partnership to symbolise its commitment on the Polish market.
Lech Poznań is the only Polish club to represent the country in the group stage of the European Cup this autumn.
Founded in 2010, AliExpress is a retail platform that allows consumers around the world to purchase directly from manufacturers and distributors primarily based in China.
