Bulgaria to open tourist representation in Poland
Bulgaria will open a tourist representation at its embassy in Warsaw, the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism announced on Tuesday, adding that its decision had been caused by a growing number of Polish tourists in Bulgaria.
Bulgaria has so far had such representations in Germany and Russia.
According to the Bulgarian ministry, the number of Polish tourists visiting Bulgaria has been on the rise. In 2019, it reached 421,000. The number of Bulgarians coming to Poland has also been growing, but not so quickly. In 2019, 76,000 Bulgarians visited Poland, up by 3 percent year on year.
Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova said that there were many unused opportunities for developing tourist exchange.
