Brandenburg aids Covid-19 battle in central Poland

Germany's eastern state of Brandenburg has sent aid to hospitals in the central-Polish province of Mazowsze to help them battle the Covid-19 virus, Mazowsze authorities said on Tuesday.
The aid came following an appeal by Mazowsze's authorities for help in the struggle with the Covid pandemic.
Mazowsze local parliament speaker Adam Struzik said that his region has received over PLN 1.3 millions' (EUR 290,000) worth of aid, including pulsoximetres, gloves, non-invasive ventilation equipment and 30,000 litres of disinfectant.
Struzik said Mazowsze was open to all forms of aid to secure its inhabitants' health and lives. He also thanked Brandenburg for its help.
"Every pair of gloves, every facemask counts," Struzik said. "Hospitals continue to have enormous needs. My sincerest thanks go out to our German friends for their gesture of solidarity in these difficult times."
