Banking sentiment indicator up by 2.5 points m/m in July

Poland's banking sentiment indicator (Pengab) increased by 2.5 points month on month in July 2020 but still remains in the negative territory at minus 3.0 pts, the Polish Bank Association (ZBP) and the Kantar TNS market research centre reported on Thursday.

The current situation assessment index advanced by 4.5 points to minus 0.5 point, and the projection index rose by 0.4 point to minus 5.6 points.

The index of projected household loans went up by 4 points m/m to 28.0 points, and the assessment index for the segment increased by 14 points to 0 points.

The index of projected corporate loans went up by 1.0 point from June to 25.0 points, and the assessment index for the segment rose by 1.0 point to minus 13.0 points.

The index projecting the financial condition of households in the coming six months grew by 12.0 points m/m to minus 36.0 points, while the relevant index concerning the financial condition of companies increased by 10.0 points to minus 39.0 points.
