Average corporate wage and employment rise in February

Poland's average corporate gross wage rose by 7.6 percent year-on-year to PLN 4,949.42 (EUR 1,150) in February. Month-on-month it grew 0.4 percent, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced on Tuesday.

Economists surveyed by PAP expected a 7.2-percent corporate wage growth year on year. Month on month it was expected to remain flat.

Poland's corporate employment measured 6,378,400 people in February, up by 2.9 percent y/y and 0.2 percent m/m, versus expectations for a 2.9-percent annual increase and a 0.1-percent monthly rise.
