April unemployment drops to 5.2 percent - stats office
Poland's unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage points month on month in April 2023 to 5.2 percent, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Thursday.
Economists polled by PAP expected a 5.3-percent unemployment figure in the fourth month of 2023.
The number of registered unemployed measured 821,900 in April against 846,900 in March, GUS also said.
Earlier, the Family and Social Policy Ministry estimated April's unemployment rate at 5.3 percent.
