An anti-fascist march was organised in Warsaw's downtown on Poland's Independence Day on Monday under the motto "For our freedom and yours." According to organisers, some 12,000 people took part in the rally.

Its participants were carrying red-and-white, rainbow and EU flags as well as banners reading "Down with homophobia," "Down with fascism," "November 11 'NO'to rascists and fascists," and "Diversity strengthens a nation," among others.

According to its organisers, the anti-fascist march was planned in opposition to the Independence March, which also took place in Warsaw on Sunday.
