American Airlines to launch new routes from Chicago to Kraków

On May 7 2020, American Airlines (AA) plans to launch its first route from Chicago to Kraków, southern Poland, the company announced on Thursday. This connection is currently being serviced by LOT Polish airlines.

Apart from Kraków, AA is to offer new routes from the USA to Casablanca, Tel Aviv, Budapest and Prague. The company plans to operate five flights a week, from May 7 to October 23.

Vasu Raja, the Vice President of Planning at America Airlines said that there is great local demand on flights to Central European cities.

Kraków Airport is the second largest airport in Poland in terms of passenger numbers and the biggest regional one. Last year, it serviced over 6.8 million people and recorded 16 percent growth compared to the previous year.
