Some 185 companies from 15 countries have announced their participation in the 28th International Defense Industry Exhibition starting in Kielce on Tuesday.

Although this year's exhibition will be much less impressive than in previous years due to the pandemic, there will still be plenty to see, assure the organisers of the event.

The US military will present the Patriot missile system. The Raytheon company has already presented individual elements of this system at previous fairs, but the M901 launcher will be shown for the first time. Together with the launcher, the US Army will also present the M908 HEMTT, an eight-wheel drive, diesel-powered, tactical truck, as well as the PAC-3 missile. This package was selected for the needs of the Poland's "Wisla" medium-range air and missile defence programme.

Also on show will be a AH-64 Apache assault helicopter, while the highlight of the first day of the exhibition will be a fly-over of a Boeing P8 Poseidon military aircraft.

Great Britain at its Lead Nation Exhibition will present, among other equipment, the Enhanced Modular Air Defence Solutions and the Common Anti-Air Modular Missile launcher for Poland's Narew air defense system.

Military hardware used by the Polish army will also be exhibited, including Leopard 2PL tanks, a modified T-72 tank, elements of the Poprad anti-aircraft missile system, a NUR radar on a tracked platform, long-distance reconnaissance vehicles and various types of artillery equipment.

In 2019, the fair was visited by over 30,000 people. This year's fair will last until Thursday.
